Ice Harbor Dam

One of the dams being considered for removal to restore Salmon runs – Ice Harbor Dam on the lower Snake River, Washington. There was a sizeable museum to the right (South) side of the dam about the retrofitting of the fish ladder, which you may see on the left side. It can be hard for dams and fish and fishing to co-exist. I’m wondering how the millions of tons of grain from the Palouse will be transported after the dams are gone, whether there will be enough water to do any farming, and whether we can afford to farm any more after that.
