But two minutes’ walk from here is a gorgeous beach, with white sand and azure seas. The facilities nearby are restricted to a fish and chip shop open (at this time of year) for a couple of hours on a Friday and Saturday evening. But with scenery like this … barbecues in the open air … Who cares?
Location: Achmelvich Beach. We never did find Achmelvich Castle, but there’s always next time.
