Living Forest Oceanside RV Park and Campground 9/10 – Nanaimo, British Columbia

We have stayed here many times and have never been disappointed. Fast check-in and fairly easy access to our site. It was a gravel back-in and considered a forest view. That meant no great view of the ocean, but plenty of trees. That was okay with us as it was definitely cooler in the trees than in the open. The one disappointment and it was a minor one was due to the site being very unlevel and I had to use up all my boards to bring it level. There was a table and fire ring as well. The hookup connections are in the middle which worked out well with our rig. The sewer connection was not threaded so used a large rock provided to anchor it. Otherwise all utilities worked fine. The cable TV didn’t work because the office neglected to tell me that a cable box was now needed so I had to leave my credit card number with the office in order to loan one. After that the cable TV worked fine and all channels were clear. Basic package with about 30 channels. There was free Wi-Fi near the cafe, but wasn’t accessible from our site. Otherwise the park offers Tengo for $ 3 a day up to $ 20 for a month. Some great walking trails in the park and access to the river estuary where boats are available for rent. We will continue to stay here while in the area.
