This park is difficult to rate. It has an excellent clubhouse, pool, store, and a bar that serves pretty good food at a reasonable price compared to every place else in New Orleans. Those are the positives. The negatives are the road to the park is very rough. The interior roads and sites are entirely gravel and dirt with them rapidly approaching just dirt. There are low spots that filled with water and mud when it rained. We rented a pull-in, “Super Site” that faced the ship canal. The site we were assigned was so narrow there was no room for us to sit at the side of our coach with our slides out to watch TV. As a matter of fact, we had to turn sideways to walk between our slide outs and the landscaping to get to our toad parked sideways at the rear of our site. This wasn’t a huge problem since we didn’t come to NO to watch TV or even sit at the RV site but, when you’re paying an average of $ 79/night (with Good Sam discount) it would be nice to get a reasonable space. This park has everything from Marathon Prevost buses to pop-up campers. The resort has a shuttle to/from the French Quarter that goes round trip 5 times per day, but they charge $ 6 per person per day to use it. Given the price that is charged for the not so nice sites, it would be good to include the shuttle service for free. There is cable TV with a very weak signal and I was never able to connect to the WiFi. The problem with N.O. is there are very few options to choose from that are within reasonable distance to the city. The only other decent park in N.O. is the French Quarter RV Resort which is always full and costs from $ 95-$ 150 per night depending on the dates you want.
