Sioux Falls KOA 7/10 – Sioux Falls, South Dakota

This park is part of the KOA Journey classification which is meant to describe parks to stay at on your way to somewhere. That's about right for this park; you wouldn't want to stay here any longer than necessary. It's an acceptable place to stay for a day or two, but that's all. The park is situated so close to the interstate to the noise level is high enough to make sitting outside unpleasant. With the windows closed, the noise was less noticeable but was still there. The park itself has gravel/dirt roads and sites. Calling them gravel rather than dirt would be stretching the truth. The park has a very narrow entrance driveway and very limited parking for registration. It was so crowded when we arrived that it was impossible to get our MH off of the road and into the driveway. Furthermore, there was only one workcamper acting as an escort to take you to your site and only one harassed worker behind the registration counter. I realize that the season is winding down rapidly this far north, but there should have been more staff. Yet another example of why this park is overpriced for what you get.
